KYLE and BORIS

One of the things I appreciate the most about my days in music school are the friendships that we made while practicing our brains out. Kyle and Boris are two of the best of them. We met when I was in grad school in Vancouver, BC. When I received a message asking for photos for a violin and guitar duo they were creating, I was pretty excited.

It was so much fun shooting with these two. I tried to challenge myself to play with similarities and differences in personality. I found that my coaching and posing strategies shifted when I was shooting these guys as a duo and then again as I worked with their personalities individuals.

Color and texture are very interesting to me and I try to look for it whenever I shoot in the city. In the Georgetown district of Seattle, there are so many interesting spaces to work with. Many of the locations we explored were just around the corner from each other.

Thanks to Kyle and Boris for coming all the way from Vancouver to shoot! It was so great to spend some time with some old friends that I didn't even mind the hangover I had to nurse the next day!

Wait before I go, I wanted to share a couple of bonus shots that have made it into my portfolio! Who knew these guys would be so good at modeling!

Alexis and Victor

Alexis and Victor have been dating for a year and met in person for the first time tonight for Alexis' prom night. It's enough to make you believe in love again haha. I feel pretty lucky to be a part of their special night. Dance it out kiddos!

It was so fun to get to know Alexis and Victor. I'm becoming more of a sucker for cute love stories with every photoshoot.

Our shoot took place in Seattle's Occidental Park. It's as beautiful as it is historic and its a great place to explore.
